‘Rumour Has It’ we’ve strayed across the border to create our first Black Chalk still white wine. But we couldn’t resist making it after being offered 4 tonnes of top quality Chardonnay from a friend in Kent.
 
Rumour Has It 2024 was fermented in 73% French oak (half new, half old) using aromatic yeasts at cool temperatures, highlighting the pure fruit profile of this Kentish Chardonnay. There is a soft and rounded texture on the palate having gone through partial malolactic fermentation. Kent in origin but utterly Black Chalk in style.
