TOURS + TASTINGS

About our vineyard tour + tasting

We offer vineyard tours with our in-house expert on the banks of the River Test in Hampshire.

Our tours are available year-round, but we think the best time to visit is from April to September.

Join a tour from Friday to Sunday at 11am, or at 2pm on Saturday's + Sunday's throughout the summer.

You can book Tours + Tastings for up to 10 people. Please contact us directly if you have a larger group.

Stay for Lunch

After the tour, you'll enjoy a laid-back tasting session in The Tasting Room or Courtyard. You'll get to sample two of our standout wines: the award-winning ‘Classic’ sparkling wine and the ‘Dancer in Pink’ still rosé.

You can book a tour with or without lunch - your call! If you’re staying for lunch, we’ve got you covered with options including cheeseboards, charcuterie, smoked trout, and trout pâté. There's something for everyone!

  • What does the tour involve?
Our tours begin with a walk in the vineyard, followed by a guided explanation of the wine-making process in our state-of-the-art winery. We finish with a tutored tasting of two wines (one sparkling, one still - 50ml of each).
  • What days do you run tours?
Our public tours run Friday to Sunday, starting at 11am. It is possible to organise private tours outside of this schedule.
  • Can we bring children and/or dogs?
Yes, both are welcome on tours and in our Tasting Room. We don’t charge for children unless we provide food.
  • How long does the tour last?
The tour itself lasts 1-1.5 hours depending on group size. With lunch approximately 2 hours.
  • I have a voucher to redeem, how does it work?
If you have a physical card voucher with a 3 digit code on the back, please email sales@blackchalkwine.co.uk with you desired date and we will check availability. If you have a digital voucher via email, you can book your tour online. Head to www.blackchalkwine.co.uk/vineyard-tours-and-wine-tasting and select the appropriate tour. Select your date, and for tours with lunch, select your grazing boards on the following page. On the last page, enter your details and then add each voucher code (beginning with ‘V’) individually into the ‘add promo/voucher’ box. This will reduce your balance to zero, unless you have ordered extra lunch boards.
  • Is there accommodation nearby?
There are a number of campsites in the area. For hotels, Andover and Stockbridge are a 10 minute drive. Alternatively Winchester is 15-20 minutes away. A separate company, Wild Escapes, have built four luxury treehouses in one of our vineyards. These are available to book at www.wildescapes.co.uk
  • Do you have a restaurant on-site?
Our Tasting Room has a small kitchen that produces locally-sourced grazing platters (cheeseboards, charcuterie, smoked trout).
  • What wines do you produce and sell?
We are predominately a sparkling wine producer. Our core range consists of our white sparkling - the Classic and our Pink Sparkling - the Wild Rose. We have a number of premium sparkling wines and also a range of still wines. We do not produce a red wine. Our wines are available to purchase in our Tasting Room or to purchase online https://www.blackchalkwine.co.uk/wine
