It’s important on any away day to utilise the time you have to maximum efficiency. Have a clear plan on what you’d like to achieve from the day. It may be setting clear goals for the months to come, developing ideas for future campaigns, gaining a greater understanding of your team and the way they work or simply to allow some time for your employees to let off some steam. Whatever you goal for the day - draw up a clear agenda and share it with your team beforehand so everyone knows what to expect from the day.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Over time, office life can build up a level of monotony and can even affect you employees productivity. A break from ‘normal’ office life can be just the refreshing experience your employees need to get out of their office mindset and truly relax. It can even result in more creativity back in the office! Choose your away day location carefully, make sure it’s easily accessible for everyone involved. Enquire as to whether the venue has the equipment required for your away day - perhaps this is a projector screen, wifi or suitable breakaway areas and book in your catering requirements in advance so everything runs smoothly on the day!
Our venue is just 5 miles from Andover in the Test Valley and 12 miles from Winchester. We are within easy reach of London or Southampton via the M3. Winchester and Andover offer great transport links from London Waterloo which is just a one hour train journey from London. As if that's not enough, we offer free car and coach parking on the premises too!
FEED YOUR TROOPS
Food is an excellent ice breaker and provides a great opportunity for your team to relax and digest the day's events (excuse the pun)!). Whether it’s a casual breakfast to kick off the conversation, a working buffet lunch or a decedent alfresco BBQ, the importance of feeding your troops should not be underestimated - and who doesn’t love a free lunch?!
At Black Chalk Wine, we offer a multitude of bespoke catering options and if the weather’s on your side you can even enjoy your food in our beautiful vineyard courtyard or in an amongst the vines in our stunning Circle Vineyard.
MAKE IT AN EXPERIENCE
Throw a curve ball experience into your away day to make it unforgettable. From choosing a location which is new and adventurous to organising an activity your employees may not be familiar with, making your away day an experience can create a strong sense of energy in your team and ultimately make the day far more memorable for them.
At Black Chalk, we offer guided tours and tastings as an optional finishing touch to your away day booking. During your tour, you will see a working vineyard and winery in action. We are one of a few vineyards in Hampshire that has the vineyard and winery on the same premises so you get to see everything in the wine making process as well as experience a tutored tasting of our current release wines.
