The Perfect Pairing: Black Chalk Wine x The Other Art Fair

We have been the official wine partner of The Other Art Fair London since March 2024, recognising our shared spirit of innovation and artistry.

Together, we’ve created a unique partnership which celebrates individuality and self-expression in the vibrant intersection between art and wine.

At each edition of The Other Art Fair London, we bring our own creative flair through a 4-day experiential activation called “The Pairing Room”.

Art in action: the Black Chalk mural

One of our favourite parts of the partnership with The Other Art Fair is the Black Chalk Mural creation, a collaboration with a selected artist who is challenged to interpret Black Chalk in their own distinctive styles. The mural has quickly become a highlight of the fair, with the artist transforming our Pairing Room from a blank canvas into a bespoke 7m wide wall mural live during the fair’s opening night!

Artist in Residence October 2025

James D Wilson

In partnership with the Black Chalk Wine team, artist James D Wilson will create a vibrant mural inspired by the winemaking process, the winery’s architecture, and the surrounding landscape. Using his distinctive approach of fragmentation, layering and reduction, he will distill these influences into a work that captures the movement and character of the place. The mural will be unveiled this October at The Other Art Fair, joining a weekend of wine tastings, workshops, and the Black Chalk Wine Shop & Bar.
